  • Can someone give me links to scientific studies for human behavior argument made by jacque? Thanks!!

  • Virtually all of modern behavioral psychology supports what Jacque is saying, but Jacque's recommended reading list features B.F. Skinner's Behavior of Organisms and Skinner's Science & Human Behavior. Some people misunderstand what he is saying as something like "genetics do not play a role in human behavior." This is NOT what Fresco is saying; Fresco is saying that there is no set group of human behaviors inherent to all people; our values and beliefs are entirely environmental.

  • @Seabrali Yes that would be nice if it were true but our values and beliefs are NOT entirely enviormental as a whole. And never will be.

  • @sysopkc

How are our values and beliefs not environmental? They're all results of experience. Babies don't come out of the womb with their own languages, traditions, etc. All "values" are by definition associations with the physical world, whether they are based on the most relevant information or not.

  • The problem with whoever was saying "but you can't change that innate behavior" is that quite simply they are replacing the word nature with behavior, and getting away with making the same false argument.

"I know it's behavior not nature, but just let me make my point" then he makes the classic human nature argument but replaces the word nature with behavior, which is a misrepresentation of human behavior, and is a false argument.

  • Why can't people understand there is a problem with our society. All of the faults in our behavior as humans is a result of our fail society. If you can't understand this, then you are just another example of what Jacques Fresco is trying to point out. I don't understand how people can make this idea so hard to grasp...

  • @shambu2012 the origin of religion and the word itself means reconecting/reconection. it's in this sense I see religion and in this sence their quite religious. I don't spea kabout religion as the institution that's something different. But the brotherhood of mankind they try to create is quite religious in the original sense of the word. Not to mix with the religious institutions indeed that's totally diferent. Cheers

  • When answering questions, Jacque doesn't get straight to the point, instead he tells stories and his experiences and stuff... People get confused by that, he should explain things better if he wants to get cooperation from others. If people don't understand what he's saying, they won't help the Venus Project.

    What do you guys think?

  • That woman at 0:06 has her shit together. It was refreshing to hear someone who has a vision that isn't bound by current thought paradigms, especially after that last guy.

  • @oneofus1982 I think word religion should not be used in this context as it has poor association. The thing you are referring to IMO is true spirituality, the missing(or untold) part in this Venus/human society reformation project. It's not only about highly educating people, it will never be enough, it's about reconnecting with higher self too, as in that level no short minded ego/self preservation/fear/domination consciousness exist. Individual recognizes freedom and abundance on all levels.

  • God this is horrible. These Americans, or well this is the first lecture I am seeing in America with this Q&A by Jacque, this is just pathetic, this audience is stupid, its beyond their small minded suburbia shaped imagination to grasp what Jacque is talking about. Sad.

  • You can tell that kid with the red hair has a brother or someone in the military... he keeps asking these ignorant questions

  • if you think human behaviour is inborn and static just think a bit about yourself. the education you had the environment you grew up with etc and you'll see all your behaviour has a reason. you start learning it since your a kid with the goal of adapting to your environment and surviving in the best way possible. only inborn thing to humans is the will to live, survive, avoid suffering and the search for pleasure all the rest is learned... and indeed studies show this. search abit and u'll see

  • @Seabrali indeed.genetics can pass some propention to some dieseases, more predisposition to addictiion etc but no beliefs or behaviour is genetical jacques mentions study they did even to test ability to learn languages theu did with chinese and european kids and chinese babies learn chinese at same speed than european babies. that shows how much of learning ability or knowledge and beliefs are genetic. their not. human brain is the most plastic thing you can imagine...

  • @bean5626 hi. Jacques, the venus project made my interst in a lot of things come back and been searching quite some stuff in the human behaviour/psychology areas. Found this one which I found interesting: tyoe thinkquest human behaviour in google and you find: still reading it but it seems it gives quite a lot of info. hope you enjoy it.take care
