It looks easy but the problem is getting the money to buy all the gear, the studio space and then you have the problem of getting work week after week when there are already pro portrait studios that are well known in your area and are trusted by the target market.
That is why you often see that there is a high number of female photographers who have well off husbands who funded their degree, all the gear and patches of poor business do not matter. Call me sexist but its the truth.

@SuperMangn Hey, the 1950's called, it wants it's misogynistic views back. I work in a lab and know lots of female photographers, and surprise surprise they fund themselves, just like the men! Some of them aren't even married, imagine that. I am also doing a photography degree in college and most of my class of 30 are female, again, none of which are funded by their sugar Daddies. Yes, you are sexist and you should be fucking ashamed.

@uknowulovemehXOXO Thank you!!!! I am married, also have 3 children. The only time i can upgrade my gear, or buy new equipment is when i save up with the money i made from my sessions or weddings... I also network with many photographers that are in the same boat. Thanks for the video by the way.. i was looking into buying a octagonal softbox (with the money i saved) .. helped out a lot!!

Do you need an exposure meter too?
Can't you just do a white balance, and fix it up in post?

@Cloud797 You don't need a meter you can check the histogram on your camera to get correct exposure.

Hi
Excuse me for seeming dim, great video, but what are the flashes? I thought it was lights only.
I am a beginner so please no slating my ignorance.
Thanks

@fotophotoivybridge The flashes are from the studio flash that is being used.
