This Fox Movietone film clip contains the Speech of Thomas Alva Edison.

In this Clip, Edison recites an excerpt from a famous nursery rhyme,

"Mary had a little lamb,
Its fleece was white as snow;
And everywhere that Mary went,
The lamb was sure to go."

These words were recorded by a Fox Movietone newsreel camera at Edison's Glenmount home in West Orange NJ on August 12, 1927. Edison re-enacted his historic invention of the tinfoil phonograph for the Golden Jubilee of the Phonograph ceremony 50 years after the original words were spoken on tinfoil.

  • Edison certainly was a genius. Why, if it wasn't for his many years of research, we'd be watching TV by candlelight !!!

  • @Slovenc1998 The burden of prood is on you for a fairly outlandish claim.

  • トーマスは地獄へ落た。 最早、彼の悪口を言う必要は無い。可哀想な人だ。

    テスラは生き地獄を味わったが、天国で快楽に暮らしている事であろう。

  • Thanks youtube, you cant even buffer a 82 year old video :\

  • @JubalCalif Tesla was a genius! edison is just a thief

  • y r there no videos of tesla?!!!!!

  • Although recent discoveries have shed some harsh light on the whole Edison Vs. Tesla thing, I believe they are both deserving of our respect as they have contributed more to the modern world than we ever may know. After all, we have to remember that we weren't actually there, and nobody's really a saint nowadays anyway.

  • no u idiots, edison didnt even create the lightbulb, he just helped improve what was allready made

  • viva edison

  • yes... they were kind of like the bill gates and Steve Jobs of thier day... They help discover and used the discoveries of those that came before them. Edison was a bit smarter in the implemation of the discoveries into inventions that could be brought to the market place in which transformed our world. Tesla had interesting ideas that also were useful, some of which became foundations of our civil world. AC and radio wave electricity.
