this family is repulsive. Also, richard heene is, in fact, a racist. he was quoted as saying that he hates white women, that they are less submissive than a japanese woman. he is a sick man. The wife is gross, too. I feel sorry for their kids, having mentally ill parents like this.

Re-watching the footage before Falcon outed the parents, its amazing that we didn't catch on to it being fake beforehand. Just watch the videos where Richard says "I'm sorry I yelled at him" -- It doesn't even LOOK real.

@plutarkosky Absolutely! And the concept REALLY took off with the advent of "Reality" TV. Many kids today aspire to being "famous" via this misbegotten route. It's sick, messed up and not going anywhere soon unfortunately, since production costs are ridiculously low and ratings are through the roof. "Sensationalism" has always existed in varying degrees, but it rules the day now in ALL aspects of the media. The only way to change this crazy, uncontrollable course is to TUNE OUT.
