These highlights don't really capture the other 120 minutes of ultimate desperation displayed by both sides on that night. St. Kilda got off to an awesome start away from home, taking a 14 point lead early on, in Robert Harvey's 300th game. Roger James kept Port in it before a slow comeback head by Warren Tredrea dragged Port infront at half time. Fraser Gherig was also brilliant with 5 first half goals before a see-sawing 3rd and final term. The last quarter was epic, most inspiring was Gavin Wanganeen's two amazing goals, one of which put Port into their first AFL Grand Final.

  • @PietroAdi yea you do

  • Argh... we could have used Aaron Hamill that night. Great game, but a heartbreaking loss in the end. Robert Harvey's 300th. To think he was booed off by some of the Port fans *sigh*

  • @xalstarx Oh man, that's devastating if true, but from where I was sitting he got clapped off :)

Good luck for the rest of the year, tipping the Saints against the Dees!

  • Shame I couldn't go to this game. And yes it's a shame we don't get 40,000+ every home game, guess most supporters only show up when we're winning.

  • this is what im talking about. this is football

  • Power used to be the fuckin best, now they're just shit.

  • @marioishere96 they will theve been doing bad because of old players but most are retiring so we will in mabye 3-4 years :)

  • St Kilda were dominating until thousands of their moronic supporters invaded the field to celebrate Gehrig's 100th goal.

  • st kilda shoulda been premiers that year

  • Great game. The heroes are Gavin Wanganeen for his freakish last quarter goals and Peter Burgoyne smother in the dying seconds.

  • If Rievwolt had've kicked straight they would have won

  • I cant see port ever playing like this again, not in 100 years

  • hahahaha I remember those stupid "clappers"
