DEKALB, Ill. - A former student dressed in black walked onto the stage of a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University and opened fire on a packed science class Thursday, killing five students, wounding 16 and setting off a panicked stampede before committing suicide. Police say they have no motive for the rapid-fire assault, carried out by the gunman who fired indiscriminately into the crowd with a shotgun and two handguns as students dove to the floor and ran toward the exits. As of right now 22 have wounded and 6 dead including the shooter. 4 female and 2 males. RIP to all 6 of them may God have mercy on the shooter

My aunt goes to NIU and luckly was not shot. RIP those who have passed. You will be missed dearly. <3

im a current student we actually had another shooting earlier this semester. it wasn't near the same there was just one shot fired, i was standing right there to see tho

In Mexico You can also get a permit to carry and or use a weapon for your self defense, I think you should do some research before posting something you don't know

it always makes me wanna cry hearin about niu.
it's so strange living like 2 blocks away from campus. i remember seeing helicopters and airplanes go by while i was leavin my bball game.
im only 12 and i don't attend niu of course and don't know anyone whoo died but itz crazy how much this shooting affected me. now im scared to drive pass campus.
