  • Yo I went to the tour today and in the whole place it was really intimidating a lot of black people and crumby looking old ladys (or really big ladys that look like men) and the benefits and money seem so worth it. I can sorta lift up to 70 pounds (able to lift it with my benchpresser) but it's not like I am very strong at all. Is this job worth it? I was planning on becoming stronger but atm it seems dangerous and out of my zone. What do you think man.

  • Get some confidence and grow a pair... bust some ass, you wuss. With an outlook like that you'll get eaten alive by management. Never mind the rest of it.... I doubt they offered you a job... Did they?

  • Iuno I went to the tour last tuesday, waiting on the interview call or part. If I do get the job I am prepared to haul ass for it, the first few times will be rough though.

  • Bad news man. You probably would've got offered the job already. They probably sensed you were intimidated. That's why I responded the way I did. From the minute you walk in to UPS(or any employer) for a job you got to act like you can kick some ass. If you really want it go back down there and go get it!

  • are you shittin me? there are hardly any boxes on that belt. why can't you guys get them loaded?

you need to quit screwing around and do your damn jobs.

  • @inserenity75 LOL for me it was 8.00 an hour but they promise you a .25cent raise after 3 months and then you cap off at 8.25 for life. Ahhh the good old days at Fedex ground.

  • @frogger0528 Jeez at least they give you some kind of info. I worked at fedex ground and it was basically, grab your zip code, load it on the truck and then mark off a stop on a piece of paper if the address was different then the last 300 addresses you just loaded. (Yes I never really was good at getting that right) followed by grunbling cause you guestimates of 300 different stops was off by 9.

  • why fedex crazy fast belt shit

  • I hate how the truck loaders get to have music and us in the unload and sort aisle dont get to have anything except bullshit from supervisors

  • I thought you can't bring any electronics in? When I went for my appointment we had to go through metal detectors and get wanded

  • haha what did that guy yell at the end?

  • @allthatremains2009

What are you saying? It's an exciting job! It's celebration everyday!

  • i used to work at target working on the line similar to this. if this is the normal pace then its alot easier than target, the line was always full of boxes and the pace was alot faster since it was pushed manually by supervisors. the pay was low. and benefits werent that good. and sometimes there was only couple people working on one side of the line. people need to man up working on logistics or dont bother applying in the first place. big plus for me is i dont deal with customers at all.
