Rare video, yet another version of what is perhaps THE Rock-Song ever written to date, which always strikes and makes heart tremble, directly, with the only Voice that can sing it, dominating instruments and bending them, at the end, with that desperate and excited scream, which is the beauty of a meaning not to die. Only by Bowie.

  • Looking back. The last time he played this venue, before this one, was in 1978. It was the first time I saw him live. I was 11 years old and that night in Ahoy Rotterdam changed my life forever. In the 25 years to follow I saw db perform his Art all over the globe... lucky me !!!! That journey ends here, in my hometown, in the very same venue where it started 25 years earlier I saw 'David live' for the last time. Talking about circles... Thank you very much for posting !!

Thank you very much for this testimony so nostalgic and yet so alive in the frames of your consciousness, so sweet: a circle that encompasses a period for which these musics were the echo for the dance of your life experiences ... is a message that arrives to us spangled with your secrets, but very bright.

  • @theMusicofmyLife1 Thank you for your poetic refection !! We miss him don't we ?

  • @tintobrass13

    ABSOLUTELY YES !!!

A void that is unlikely will be compensated. Even Art is in crisis, unfortunately ...

Thanks again for your kindness, a hug.

  • I just couldn't possibly ever get tired of watching/listening to this man and his music. He's just so irreplaceable. There's no other voice like his. This is a fantastic video Fiorella. I love the close ups in it. Thanks again, so much for sharing with us.

If I listened to "Heroes" thousands of times, for each one, I'd be dazzled by strength of this tune, that DB sings like in a desperate crescendo (despite a vague irony), always with elegance to spare.

Here we are in the Olympus of Rock: Bowie changed the shape of the classic song, remodeling a commonplace and expressing a yearning melody, immortal, refined over time with his majestic voice in a perfection that never took for granted, rendering his grief a high Art.

    Thank you dear.
