I lucked out and, having had an LPG car, I was aware of the coil vs distributor driven ignition system. My car is distributor fired but I have designed an injector to deliver the gas to each cylinder. Will solve the back fire issues and also improve efficiency by a good 500%. The injector uses the current ECS to fire the solenoids much the same as a conventional injector :)
Two stroke IC engine is more effecient than four stroke. The good example is Rotax. HD50 maybe do a static test to verify spark at bottom of stroke? Should be able to do it by hand with the plugs out. Don't give up yet.
2 strokes are so inefficient in the first place that's why they have been cut off buy the EPA, eventually you will see that this is a waste of time and the only way this would be a sucess is to use a fuel injected four-stroke engine. The EFI will compensate for the lack of fuel being burned and adjust timing. The entire project with this 2-stroke was a falure before it began, it's too bad it took you this long to figure it out.
can U retard the timing? if the WS ignites at bottom dc & there is no gas in the chamber(there should not be) U can get away with it, since a WS only ignites at the exhaust cycle. only if the spark comes up at BTDC then it backfires.(unless U have a bad valve/ V seat)try retarding the timing to +- 0 to 2 deg. ATDC. use a bubbler with as much water inside as U can get away with when doing it. of course a 4Cycle engine is easier(WO waste spark)
i dont think they both come on and the same time make sure. unsew both plugs keep the caps connected make sure they both tuch the block(ground wire) then kick the bike you should be able to see the fireing order.
if the spark at the same time
disable one piont on the fly wheel and use one side of the engen
I have heard about back fire.
no need to worry about it.
Because there is some safety device to prevent this. A one way valve or a check valve it is from welding tank
and the other one is a bubbler.
cheer...
let continue on the project.

you can do it with that motor,the wasted spark is unlikely to ignite the incoming charge,unless the timings out,timing is fixed on that motor anyway

if it is 2-stroke how does the oil work with hydrogen

Hey bro. Love the work. You are doing great :)

Yeah, that's called a waste spark to help clean up dirty gasoline, so it will burn any left over fuel in the system.

its also called a back-fire.
