    Here it goes: -- watch?v=3O-YKzdTT3A

A blunt mass produced butter knife stamped out of a piece of cheap stainless steel will do the job as well. PWND!!!

  • @Protherium...Actually, it looks like the samurai sword cut the bullet cleanly in two and deflected the two pieces, possible keeping a person safe (if a person were badass lucky enough) while the butter knife more or less shattered it into several fragments that would have had a better chance of hitting a person. Still, if a butter knife is all I had, I guess it would have to do.

Nevertheless it proves that every piece of hardened steel will do and it has nothing to do with superior quality of the sword. Theoretically, even a blunt fantasy wallhanger will do the job. Cutting bullets is actually pointless - cause you will never be able to hit one with a sword in a real gunfight. In anime, perhaps, but not in real life.

  • @Protherium...bones can shatter bullets too. I think what impressed me is the fact that this sword was MADE from scratch. It's not some mass produced wallhanger "stamped out of cheap stainless steel". It was forged in the traditional manner. Not many folks know how to do that well anymore. I think if the sword had been damaged, it would have bruised the old man's ego a bit more than if the sword had been a mass produced wallhanger. Anyway, lead versus steel? No contest.
