If anyone's interested - the uploader has uploaded the continuation of this video as mosquito_fighter.mpg

I don't care what some people say, I actually think the stem looks pretty good, I'm thinking about getting a replica.

What an awesome piece of engineering. I have seen police in India carrying Sten Guns and when I asked one of them, they said all low level police have access to them and they are brilliant piece of engineering and never get stuck and do the job in close combat. You need to be very intelligent and smart to make simple things. Another reason why AK47 is so mass produced

When a toy factory can make your gun, you've done something right.

@LordWellington15 Your point being? Did you even bother to read what I said? It may of been outclassed but it got the job done. It was a rushed project to create a weapon which could be mass produced. it was not intended to be fantastic, just simple to make and use. It achieved it's objective, therefore it is not a piece of garbage. If you think it is, please by all means go and design your own gun using the same materials and make something better.

@MrCommunismftw Maybe its because I have actually fired it, dis-assembled and re-assembled it. You really need to stop watching movies and get into the real world.

@LordWellington15 It's not a "piece of garbage". Any gun that can fire and kill someone is a useful weapon, it had a good rate of fire too. I don't understand why people think certain guns are bad. It may of been outclassed by more attractive and expensive guns like the MP40 and Thompson. But it was supposed to be cheap and it achieved that. It was a succesful weapon and allowed resistance members to disrupt Nazi occupations.

These guns are better than people think, it's actually a good sub machine gun, not particularly attractive by any means, but it's cheap, it works and anyone can use it.
The Sten IS great engineering - that's the whole point of the video - it was not meant to be as fine as a Thompson or Bren - it was what the British needed and it was delivered brilliantly. You're missing the point.

Funny how just after he says "aim was less than true" they show a man-target riddled with bullets.
