@meterman432110 Sorry, I don't have the exact date. I believe from what Margaret told me that this was shot sometime during the early 70's. I believe it was before Gaylord bought KTNT in the mid-70's. If any viewers recognize themselves on the show, I'll have an exact date. About once a year we get an e-mail from someone hoping to get arcive footage of themself on this show, but sadly this is the only clip that survive... as far as I know. I aways direct them to this clip, but so no luck.

@Bargerland I am on this show. I am the little gir in the yellow dress and white gogo boots..My mom was so suprised when I sent her the clip. I really made my day. I will have to see if I have my certificate from the show and get you the dates.

@dvmiller77 Thanks for the note. That's amazing that you found yourself on this show. This is the only recorded Romper Room from the Seattle area, so what are the chances. I'm guessing a few 1000 to 1. I've had so many people ask where they can find a video of themselves on the show, but I've never been able to help. If you have a guess what year this might be, I would appreciate it. If you give me your name, I'll put it into the description. But if not, that's okay. Thanks again.

A minor correction here. During the 1960s, Channel 11 was still KTNT-TV, owned by the Tacoma News-Tribune. It didn't become KSTW until the station was sold in the early 70s to an Oklahoma company.

Also a personal note: I grew up in Seattle and my twin sister and I faithfully watched Romper Room when we were very young in the late 1950s. The host then was "Miss Elaine" (I don't know the last name) who obviously preceded Miss Margaret...

Thanks for your note. I should know better. I have corrected the name on the clip. I have never come across any clips of Miss Elaine, but I remember watching her as well back in the late 50's. If you enjoyed this clip, make sure you watch the Miss Margaret backstory. She had some great stories to tell.

@Bargerland I will see if I have the diploma tonight, but I am guessing it was 1972 or 1973. It was in the summer I believe. I even got to take my cat for show and tell on the show. It is too bad this is the ony clip left of the show. I would have loved to see others. Oh and it was still in the Tacoma studio when I was on the show if that helps at all.
