In honor of Ms. Helm's birthday (March 17th) here is a bit of her very fine preformance in The Love of Jeanne Ney from 1927. In this clip, Helm plays Gabrielle,a blind girl, who discovers the murder of Raymond Ney(Adolf E. Licho) as done by Khalibiev (Fritz Rasp).

Watch the fine acting as she uses all her body to convey the horror!

  • Yes she does. I highly recommend it. Netflix has it and of course you can buy it from Kino. :-)

  • Fritz Rasp was pretty much type-cast as either a heavy or a down-right villain, but I'm sure he got lots of mileage out of roles like that.
