In 1958, this was the first musical in Broadway featuring, a mostly Asian-American cast. Based on a book by CY Lee, Flower Drum Song is a mid 50's Asian American story about a girl who's suppose to marry a guy who's in love with a showgirl so, the guy sets up the girl with another guy but ends up falling for the showgirl too, while the 1st girl digs the 2nd guy. 90210 couldn't write this any better..... get your tix now, it's going to be a sold out show.
