A demonstration of the proper way to trap an arm, bridge, and roll through to affect a reversal from underneath the saddle or mount position. Several keys to watch for: your bridge should be explosive and on a 45-degree angle; you should be bridging on the side of your face and shoulder; and when you complete the bridge and roll, you want to be at somewhere near a 90-degree angle from where you began the move. This is a perfect example of how you can use your wrestling basics to escape a bad position. Clip taken from Snap, No Tap, the 12-DVD sequel to Lost Art of Hooking from Paladin Press.
This move is more effective. Even the Gracies teach the roll over not 45 deg. see in thier moves in the youtube or in gracie combative my uncle enrolled at

Very cool bridge variation. I have to try this. For a lot of cool CACC stuff, visit CatchWrestlingUnited forum

This is incredibly useful, of all the videos of the internet those who deal with little details of the basics are the best.

@adamish1134 True, it's a basic reversal. But, since CACC is primarily concerned with real world self defense, focusing on basic skills like this one makes a lot of sense. Not only are people not likely to encounter high level grapplers on the street who will know how to block it, but it's also the simple basic moves that are gonna work most often when you're in a high stress situation and the adrenaline is flowing. Tell someone like Roger Gracie that basic moves don't work and fancy is better.

Works very well if you really practice getting that bridge on the face and shoulder. The more precise the bridge, the easier the reversal. Keep drilling.
