A video comparing the top candidates for FIFA Player of the Year 2008 (Sorry I didn't include Casillas). The three candidates are Fernando Torres of Liverpool and Spain, winner of Euro 2008, Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United and Portugal, winner of the UEFA Champions League and Barclay's Premier League, and Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona and Argenina, Olympic Gold Medalist.
Note* Because each player's style of play is different, the length for each of the candidates varies. For example, Messi's segment is the longest because of his extensive dribbles. Fernando Torres' part is the shortest because he scores goals quickly and beats only a few players. Ronaldo is in between because his goals are preceded by dribbling, but still not as long as Messi's. There was no prejudice in making the video

Ronaldo sure is a great technician, but personally I don't see him much as a team player. And he's the only one that drops like every five meters once.
Messi is a freakin' genius. Unbelievable passer. The only one to mess with him is probably Fabregas.
Torres, however, is my absolute favourite. Pure striker. Powerful, energetic, young.
