@samshepherd Don't fancy yourself. Most people who speak English as their native tongue use and understand sarcasm. People who have learned English as a second language don't always get the subtlety of sarcasm. I'm sure they are quite capable of it in their own language, however.

I'm British and not agreeing with anything in this about British comedy... the main part of British comedy that is wholly British is sarcasm which a lot of foreigners don't get because they just don't understand or recognise sarcasm.

I'm an American but I like most British tv comedies, except fir Monty Python.

I really liked this show, i 'm trying to figure why ... I just liked it. A lot of friendship and natural stuff ... bravo !
