Halwa (from the Arabic word halwa , meaning "sweet") is perhaps the most popular and most widely used dessert in the World. It is prepared from the Horn of Africa to Europe, and from the Far East to Central Europe. It is commonly used in social settings like Eid celebrations and even some religious ceremonies. The halwa is mainly prepared either soft (which could be based on ground wheat product or noodles), or it could be hard in consistency. Most of the times nuts and raisins are used. There is a halwa from almost everything, from meat to pumpkin.
However, this ghazal is not about that halwa which is consumed by the body. It is about the halwa for the soul, which is cooked by angels at Allah's orders, in His kitchen, for the Sufis.
