For a complete lesson on using slope to graph a line, go to http://www.yourteacher.com - 1000+ online math lessons featuring a personal math teacher inside every lesson! In this lesson, students learn to graph a line using a given point and slope by first plotting the given point, then taking the given slope (rise over run) from the given point, plotting a second point, and connecting the points with a line. Students also learn that the x-intercept is the point where the line crosses the x-axis, and the y-intercept is the point where the line crosses the y-axis. And if the given slope is an integer, such as 5, it can be thought of as 5/1, so that it can be read as rise over run.

  • how do you write the equation?

  • My body is yours.

  • in all of these video they all look like serial killers.

  • UH! We have to lot using the y-intercept and the slope!

  • wtf its that easy

  • I forgot how to do this cuz I'm in 6th grade and taking 9th grade math

  • @hi41686 we're used to the fun stuff we watch on youtube, and we pay attention to it very well haha

  • sweet, i wish I had a teacher like him in highschool...

  • @yourteachermathhelp what if the equasion is 2;(1,-2)

Would it be any diffrent with alignment, charting, or plotting or whatever the 2; stands for?

  • He speaks so slow that it should make you feel dumb, but somehow he hypnotizes you into learning. The only thing that I ever hear from my math teacher is a bunch of "Weeelllllll, this point goes down to this point and you put this over here..." Also, he uses the points "A" and "B" instead of "x" and "y" like my stupid teacher.. something about these videos makes me learn.
