you know no matter what martial art it is, its still a weapon. Judo was made for self defense against bigger people.

Japan isent the only people who can wear a Gi. It looks like a Japanese martial art, like a type of Aikido or something. Calling it Judo isent correct, but in America we wear the gi, why cant Philipinos???

judo is still regared as a combat
its similar to sports like wrestling in regards to combat sports while it dosent seem like it was invented for self defense im pretty shure jigaro kano did invent it as a self defence for instance their a several forbidden throws in judo and there are strikes (only taught at a latter stage) armbars and strangles. judo was invented as a more refined and practitcal version of japanese jiujitsu so i would still class it as a self defense or combat

Judo is a National sport of Japan Meaning JU=gentle & DO=way, so your martial art means Combat gentle way? its a Filipino art but why you use the japanese word judo and wear their Gi as a uniform?, the combat side of judo is juijitsu when converted to a sport its judo, so there is no such thing as combat judo

JUDO means GENTLE WAY, so COMBAT JUDO MEANS: COMBAT GENTLE WAY? the meaning is conflict, and in Japan there is no such thing, if its a filipino art why ur using japanese word like Judo and Japanese Gi as an outfit? maybe you guys dont know that the combat style of Judo is Japanese Juijitsu, when converted in to a sport its Judo..
