  • What changes did you make in the use of electricity for your house, over how you used electricity before the solar panels??

  • @thecrism1 - I didn't make any changes because of the solar addition - saving energy has been one of my hobbies my whole life. I have LED lighting, we use a whole-house fan, a recirculating water pump. Very low vampire loads. My house PLUS the EV uses about half the electricity as the average home in my neighborhood (not counting the solar displacement!) When counting solar, I use almost nothing on a net energy basis.

  • how do u get the solar panel? how much ?!?!?

  • @KoolJust4U - I got the solar panels by paying a solar panel installation company to come and install them. I then ended up working for the same company after my install. My system cost approximately $10k and will provide fuel for my main car for the rest of my life - as well as covering all of my house's electrical needs. It was paid off years ago, and is free from now on.

  • @darelldd was it able to cover your whole household?

  • @KoolJust4U - yes. 2,250 Sq ft house, plus 10,000 EV miles per year- covered by my 2.5 kW solar system.

  • great video and pure value - Excellent!

  • @raejaybigpapi - A better question is, "why not?" I have a pull-through garage. All my major tools are on wheels, and I roll them out back to my covered work area behind the garage to use them. I can easily pull all my bikes back there, or one of the cars... whatever. Was one of the selling points of my house!

  • Why is there a second garage door BEHIND the Rav4?

  • It would depend on your location... but first try the yellow pages and look for in stallers in your area. Ask questions. Find somebody else with solar and ask them. Ask your utility. Google your state or community +solar power.
