I am a geological engineer, I want to find some old mines in ontario to explore. How do I get started?

You start with the history of the area you are in. Regardless of where you are in Ontario there is mining history. The genral history will give you an idea of what was mined. Research in the Geological Survey of Ontario records helps pin down old mine locations. Not to be overlooked is the publications by Ann Sabina. Though most are quite dated (I belive she is deceased now) they do provide you with a place to start for mine locations.
