When playing live, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour usually acts as a six-piece. But the project was mainly started by the danish singer Mette Lindberg and producer Lars Iversen who already teamed up in 2008. Together they explore such musical genres as jazz, pop or even psychedelic pop. Even before they released their debut album "Fruit" almost four years ago, Amy Winehouse listened to their demo recording and was so thrilled that she asked them to be her support act when she played a concert in Copenhagen. On January 31st, their new record "Out Of Frequency" will be released in Germany and hopefully will bring them even more attention - they deserve it! On a press visit to Cologne in January, Mette Lindberg und guitarist Mikkel Baltser played their song "Heart Attack" in a special acoustic version for Cardinal Sessions.

Wenn sie live unterwegs sind, kann man The Asteroids Galaxy Tour als sechsköpfige Band mit allerlei Instrumenten bestaunen. Doch eigentlich stecken hinter diesem futuristischen Namen die Dänin Mette Lindberg und der Produzent Lars Iversen, die sich bereits 2008 zusammenfanden, um solch spannende Musikrichtungen wie Jazz, Pop und auch mal Psychedelic zu kombinieren. Noch bevor The Asteroids Galaxy Tour vor nunmehr fast vier Jahren mit "Fruits" ihr Debütalbum vorlegen konnten, hörte Amy Winehouse ein Demo der jungen Dänen und war so begeistert, dass sie sie als Vorband für ihr Konzert in Kopenhagen verpflichtete. Am 31. Januar erscheint jetzt also "Out Of Frequency" - ein Album, das ihnen mit Sicherheit noch mehr Aufmerksamkeit bringen wird. Zurecht! Bei ihrem Pressebesuch in Köln im Januar spielten Mette Lindberg und Mikkel Baltser in reduziertem, akustischen Gewand ihr Lied "Heart Attack" für Cardinal Sessions.
