Kansas City Airline History Museum-- Thurs. June 3, 2010

Just north of downtown Kansas City and across the river at the municipal airport, this unique find proved to be quite a fun afternoon for my girlfriend and I. Dedicated volunteers, many of whom are retired TWA employees, have worked tireless hours to bring the four planes primarily featured into a state of show-worthiness. Some can even still fly, while others will remain static but enter-able to the public.

The four primary planes on display are the:

Lockheed Constellation 1049 ("Connie")

Poor Ellie was on the other side of the TSA fence and I wasn't allowed to walk right up to her, but I shot what I could through the chain-links. I'm hoping next time I visit, she'll be on "my side" of the fence!
