Not to be racist but how come most Afro Americans on reality shows suck in water and are afraid of animals (Like Sean on Marquesas, Osten this season and Keisha and Jen on the Amazing Race) Osten is particularly pittifull being afraid of a pelican grow some balls :P

In answer to your mildly derisive question as to why Rupert would adopt a wounded baby snake and later grieve... it's cos he has a heart, specifically a papa's heart. It's not a weakness, it's a strength. That's why he does what he does for a living. He's not intimidated by peer pressure; he is not afraid to love.
... A lot of people think the opposite of love is hate. It's not. It's apathy and fear. Rupert is neither apathetic or afraid to care.
