Hey everyone! I'm NintenBeau and this is my Pokémon Black and White Breeding Guide video. I hope it's helpful. I thought it was about time to update my previous demonstration and actually have a video guide on YouTube. I know there is no Pokémon Black and White footage in this video (I haven't even able to play my copy yet), but it doesn't need it and the partner video will come soon and show lots of Pokémon Breeding.
Be sure to turn annotations on, I will note a few things as I go along. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to help you. If you are unsure of anything, I do recommend reading the written guide and watching this over just to make sure you didn't miss anything. If you still have questions then that is cool. Often I get questions that are already covered in the video or the written guide, so if you check those first it might just save us all some time.
HOW TO CATCH A DITTO: On Black and White, Ditto can be found in the Giant Chasm to the east of Lacunosa Town on Route 13. Go into the cave and go to the exit that leads into the forest area with grass. Ditto appears in the grass (15% chance of finding one). My advice for catching one is before going into this cave, buy the Magikarp from the Magikarp salesmen on Marvelous Bridge (between Unova Routes 15 and 16) and bring it into the cave. When you find a Ditto, switch your lead Pokémon for Magikarp and Ditto will transform into Magikarp. All it will be able to do is Splash and it also makes Ditto be as easy to catch as Magikarp is (whereas if it transformed into a legendary it would be hard to catch). If this is the first Ditto you're catching, infllict a status on it (Sleep is best, but Poison, Burn or Paralysis will be fine) once it's a Magikarp) and then chuck a Net Ball at it and that should catch (if it doesn't catch first time then another ball or 2 should work). If you have already caught a Ditto, then inflict a status on it and throw a Repeat Ball at Ditto (again, once it's a Magikarp) and that should catch it as well (again, if it doesn't catch first time then another ball or 2 should work). If you get a second Ditto, put it up for trade on the GTS for a Ditto. Somebody hopefully will trade with you and you may get a foreign Ditto which you can use to have an increased chance of getting a shiny Pokémon! Awesome huh?
Also be sure to check out the NinBuzz YouTube channel I give a link to, they are awesome and their site at NintendoBuzz is cool too. I made the video here because I can answer questions more easily when they are asked here and they also rejected one of my videos before so I figured they may do it with this one. I wanted to get this uploaded quickly, there was a window of oppurtunity that I felt may have been closing.
Don't worry about IVs. They are invsible values for each one of your Pokémons stats between 0 and 31, the higher the IV is, the higher the stat. So if you have 2 Pokémon with high EVs breeding together, the baby has a chance of inheriting some of those high EVs. As the video says, basically strong parents often lead to strong children.
Thanks a lot for watching everyone. Please like, favourite, leave a nice comment and if you want to, subscribe too!

In BW the chances of hatching a shiny pokemon whose parents are from different countries have been increased :D

@2superfast4u *Checks Bulbapedia* You are absolutely correct, that's awesome! In fact it seems the original value was actually higher than I originally read years ago, 5 times more likely and BW makes it 6 times more likely. Very good to know for shiny hunters, thank you :)

@iDoodle2Draw1 No problem :) Glad it helped you, it's why I made it, when I found out about breeding and discovered all the secrets it really helped me enjoy the game more and get more out of it.

@NintenBeau Hey you forgot something, Rotom can breed with a ditto, i've done it before on my platinum with my rotom and a ditto
shelbyfan45 2 days ago
@shelbyfan45 No this is included, Rotom isn't a legendary so therefore its just a regular neutral Pokémon that can breed with Ditto. Many people in the comments have said about this, so I guess not many people know Rotom isn't a legendary, even though it doesn't have amazing stats and isn't weird to obtain like a legendary (in BW you can even trade for one in game).
