...this kind of Bartok is usually played much more "impressionistic" but this pianist has the attitude that with this composer...just let the Hungarians figure this...and they are for the most part Romantics, so they think...who am I to tell them...

Is amazing how a true artist can say so many things with just a single musical phrase...that beggining is sooooo beautiful.....

SalHernor - i heard one recording by e.n. of the blanchet "turkish harem" piece played so lyrically that i wrote "nyiregyhazi played three notes and i fell in love." one of the producers of the recording, mr. benko, saw my remark all these years later and was happy.
