why would they choose beanie wells when they got AD and chester taylor
-
Harvin was a good pick for the Vikings, they didn't have a WR who could stretch the field like he can.
Great commentary guys!

im a vikings fan

True, but at the time I posted that no one knew that Rice & Shiancoe were going to have the great seasons that they're having. Favre has been the difference maker for sure. Jackson couldn't get the ball downfield like Favre can.
-
well, you are wrong....sidney rice and shiancoe are both having great seasons. berrian is probably the 4th option. but with favre at the helm, he's the one doing the stretching. everyone he passes to is having a good year, even jeff dugan with two tds in the last 2 games.

he was the Gators main RB last season, he got the most carries... he played all over. He is more than capable of taking the bulk of the carries if AP were to get hurt

Chester is a good RB who would start on alot of teams in the NFL. I was trying to make a point that it's possible for harvin to get some carries in the event of Peterson getting hurt. also I think Chester and harvin could be used to lessen the load of Peterson so he can be under 25 carries a game without adding the stress to Chester. AP will still get his yards and 5 less carries a game adds up to a couple more seasons in the long run. plus harvin is a playmaker IMO

I thought he was basically a WR in college but nonetheless the Vikings offense is much different from UF. I can definitely see Harvin getting 2-3 reverses a game and maybe some other running plays if the Vikings use the wildcat. My thought process in replying to you was that Chester Taylor is a good RB, so he would be the one to take some of the load off of AP.

what did he play in college? wr/rb. has he gotten carries in the backfield this season? he's an inbetweener. the truth is he's not a great rb or a great receiver but he's good at both. he's 5'11 195 so he has enough size to take a few carries. Peterson is not going to last getting the ball 30 plus times per game. i no they have Taylor i live in mn. the point is that if Peterson gets hurt harvin could possibly take carries.
the one in the front is 50' and the one in the back is 42'
