The rebel fighters are prepared to die in combat if need be, I doubt they are worried what Gaddafi or his forces think of them. Besides if they didn't want people filming, I'm sure they'd try to stop the BBC rather than giving them all peace signs as they do.

As for doctors and nurses shown on TV, different ones will have different feelings. Some will want to speak out but anonymously, and some will be happy to reveal their identities.

Surely showing the faces of these soldiers whom may have family members living in western Libya will be more dangerous than showing the face of some one who is a Doctor?

The claimed Gaddafi was using mercenaries in Benghazi, a nice story to make Libyans think he had no support - but not ONE piece of evidence of him using mercenaries.
