It would be cool to see a carp of this size actually caught and prove the urban legends.... even if it's only 7 or 8 feet long, it would still easily break the world record.
@champwagner ...........................................thats called a period. Next time we'll get to capitalization. As for carp, there are zero native species of carp endemic to North America.

Excellent video...I paused it in the middle to get my husband to watch part of it - he's an avid fisherman. He's actually making plans to go out and fish for Carpie. ;-) Kudos to the Mayor's Office!!!
I once told my Rabbi about Carpie.. He quickly calculated in his mind, a yield of about 8000 servings of gefelte fish out of him for Passover. But I'm into renewable resources and Carpie is "old growth" so I'm not telling anybody where I go to see him!
