How you are talented! You are like Orpheus (Greek God, known as a magnificent lyre player)

I really love the sound of that Lyre! I am looking for a lyre myself, do you know where your friend got it from?

does that have nylon strings?

@RoxInSocks Yes, the lyre has nylon strings, making the tone softer.

It is amazing that you play this music with only 7 strings! Is it tuned pentatonic?
Liraxtime 3 years ago
Yes it is tuned pentatonic (DEGAHDE), which makes it wonderfully easy to play. I am new to the lyre and borrowed it from a friend just a few days ago.
I appreciate the freedom of having a small set of notes that go well together much more than I feel constrained by them being few.
Since I really enjoyed this one, I think I will have to get a small lyre now, or maybe even build my own.
Best wishes from Sweden!
