  • @Brendan8440 I then fix the contrast, sharpen and color later in post.

I render to MOV, using Microsoft MPEG4, usually. But I normally convert to h264 using ffmpeg before uploading to youtube/vimeo.

  • @Brendan8440 thanks for your comment!

My workflow is usually like this:

    1) Idea

    2) Write a script (or some sort of script, depending on the complexity of the video)

    3) Plan

    4) Film

    5) Edit and convert

    6) Upload

I don't convert the files before importing to cinelerra, I use the ones directly from the camera. I also film in 1080p most of the time (except for my Yellow video, for example, that I had to shoot in 60fps), and turn the contrast and sharpen settings down on my camera.

  • @j2bv16 it was hard to keep calm... this was filmed at 3:30am, when I finally closed the camera up, and I was wide awake.

  • I can see the emotion on your face, and am feeling it too

  • Nice job fixing the camera. It was a brave thing to do!

Can you describe your workflow? What parameters do you use in ffmpeg to get the files ready for cinelerra? What format settings do you use in cinelerra, and what render settings do you use? Also, do you film in 1080p or 720p?

Looking forward to more good stuff!
