I like how for many of the harpsichord concertos people say, "based on a concerto for...whatever" which is now lost. Not sure it's certain this is originally an oboe concerto just because Spitta suggested it was.....

@AbeTakawa Also Sinfonia to one of the Cantatas. Bach got A LOT of mileage out of this piece!!!!

@OneWhiteSeed That is because this recording is in Baroque 415 Pitch which makes the E-flat sound as D. The Concerto is in E-flat and will sound as such if a modern Oboe is used. I have perfect pitch as well and it can get very tricky. Note: the description on the video says "played on period instruments."
