Here, the southbound Surfliner bolts across Sand Canyon Avenue near the La Quinta Inn just off I-5. I'm not going to say how fast this train was going because I honestly don't know. I was in Southern California for a week in March, 2011 and shot this on a whim so all I know is that track speed here in 90 mph and while I'll say it could have been going that fast, I can't prove it because I didn't have my scanner and I don't want hoards of people telling me I'm wrong and bickering about it. The only thing that matters is that she really was moving, though. For some reason, cameras really dilute the sense of speed.
Enjoy.
78 mph, I timed it

From what I'm used to seeing on the Keystone, that looks similar to the speeds they do, 90+.
