It was a number of things, George had a backlog of songs he wanted to record, John was filming in the desert somewhere playing a character called Private Gripweed, Paul didn't like new manager Alan Klein and Ringo was in The Magic Christian.

@TheMisfit1965 she didnt necessarily break them up, but she didnt exactly help either, because its not like they were'nt already fighting when she came along. but she was spending so much time with john it kind of took away time from john with the band and caused more tension between them by showing up to recordings and rehearsals. so in a way, you could say she broke them up, but im not completely blaming her. her art has nothing t do with my opinion

I think people are jealous when someone finds their soul mate because most of us never do. Women are jealous because John loved Yoko at a time when everyone and everyone wanted him. I don't particularly like her art, or understand it, but the fact remains that they connected. I also don't believe she broke up the Beatles, that was inevitable. The fact that she is Asian doesn't set well with people either. If she were a caucasian I don't believe people would be as upset.

John ALWAYS wanted to be an artist, before he met Yoko he was already feeling like all that Beatle mania shit he was going through was not for him. He simply got tired of the act and of playing a character and decided to be himself. When he met Yoko, he saw himself in her, and how they were so alike in every aspect which is why he fell in love with her. People need to stop bitching about their love because of she "changed him" and because she "broke up the beatles" because it isn't true.
