@Dvheereveld As for Tal Rasha, his humanity was slowly eaten away by Baal, so you could say he died, but he didn't, you see, Baal completely took over Tal Rasha, Tal Rasha's body was corrupted by the evil inside of him so he was starting to look less and less human. Soon enough, Baal had enough power to assume his true form. As he did this, Tal Rasha's body was transformed into Baal's and his spirit died in the process. I'll do my best to answer any other questions you have, also...

@Dvheereveld MSG 2. Diablo must have foretold that Marius would be a great help in freeing Baal, so he let him follow to free Baal.

@Dvheereveld MSG 1. Yes you do travel the same path as diablo and marius, but not at the same time, you have to fight through the demons that diablo has unleashed and must defeat the lesser evils before you can continue to follow your path. So you are basically following the demons so they can lead you to the source of the evil and end it. As for Diablo taking marius along with him, technically diablo does not take him with him, marius just follows him. PS- i cant fit it all into one message :(
