my son was very sick when he was born and i found out about 2 weeks b4 i had him that he was sick but nothing could have ever prepared me for how sick. i had to have an emergancy c section and i was put under for it. he was taken stright to the childrens hospital like i new he would be but i didnt really get to c him like i expected b4 he went. i was lucky enough to get to stay at the ronald mcdonald house in winston salem nc so i could be with him. i spen countless hours in brenners childrens hospital in the nicu with him. when he was 23 days old the drs called me at 6 30 am said he had to have emergancy surgery. the though he has a hole in his intestance. i went stright to the hosp. in my pjays and all so i could c him and walk to the or with him. i go back to the house to get dressed and get something to eat withle he was in surgry. the drs call me when he gets out said they want me and his dad by the bed side. the surgern walks in and says he hates to tell us this but hes not gonna make it through the nite if even more then a couple hours. well me having medical training i no whats going on and the out come but as a mom u never wanna thing like that. they give me the chance to go ahead and take his breathing tube out but i wasnt ready. he makes it thru the nite and bout 3 am i go to the house to rest a lil bit and i wake up at 6 am to call and check on him and as they was telling me what was goin on i new his body was shuting down on him so i tell his dad we have to do it. i dont wanna have to make that choice but i dont want my baby to suffer any more then he already had his surgery the day b4 was his 4th in just 23 days we prayed and friends and family prayed for him but god had other plans with him he needed and angel so i call all my family and friends and told them they needed to get there and when every one was there we took the tube out and he went to heaven while in his mommy and daddys arms.
