Please note I do not own this video! A brilliant portrayal of the relationship between Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. From 2001, it begins in 1837, the year of King William IV's death and 18-year-old Victoria's ascension to the throne, the series charts the tumultuous period in 19th Century England where Victoria comes to terms with the enormous duties that lay ahead of her, while also falling deeply in love with her beloved Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

  • @9chaza How come your profile says you're 26? =/

  • This was not in the original movie!!! I wonder why they cut it

  • @jenmomto2 I think it was... =s

  • Where is it possible to see that movie ?

I think the plan is the future exposition of 1851. Fun to see how they present Vicky as the clever and intelligant children of the family.

  • Thats right. It was Paxton's design given to Prince Albert for the Great Exhibition.

  • Oh. My. God. I played Prince Affie in this!! I was twelve years old and it was the most amazing fun I've ever had. So many memories of running up and down that castle, and having to learn 'Stille Nacht' in only a couple of weeks with just a cassette tape and the lyrics!

I'm 21 now and it's still one of the most memorable times of my life :) Thank you SO much for uploading!!

  • He had about 12 seconds to remove a bear costume. That's an impressive change.

  • Did Albert love Victoria? It seems by all accounts that she loved him and he was very fond of her, but was it love? I was just wondering based on that remark he made near the end. "Marry first, fall in love later."

  • Even though they were cousins (gross) it was quite a love story

  • @9chaza I remember you mashing up my cake with your hand just before the final take, so I had to eat it all in bits :p Good times!

  • i don't know? i don't even know what my account is, i just made one so that i could comment.

  • The Victorian Royal family spoke English. Victoria was born and brought up in England and regarded herself and her children as English. Letters which were exchanged between members of the family were written in English. They did use some intimate family words which were German. Such as 'Germutlich' which meant cosy or homely in family parlance.
