Federal Dog Fighting Raid- July 2009

In connection with what is believed to be the largest dog fighting raid in U.S. history, the Humane Society of Missouri, working in cooperation with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the United States Department of Agricultures Office of the Inspector General, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Marshals Service and the United States Attorney, coordinated the rescue and sheltering of dogs associated with multiple suspected organized dog fighting operations. On July 8, 2009, officers from multiple federal and state law enforcement agencies made arrests and seized dogs in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Texas and Oklahoma. Investigators from the Humane Society of Missouri Animal Cruelty Task Force provided the information that led to the investigation. For more information visit www.hsmo.org

Say what to the post below. No dog should ever know the hell of a dog fighting ring. The part they don't mention are the dogs that are abused into fighting, the timid dogs that are tied up and teeth removed so they can't fight back during mating or as a bait dog for testing a dog's aggression. The other part that isn't mentioned are the dogs that are tortured and killed because they didn't win a fight. Good life in dog fighting? Give me a break.
