Growing up, I fondly recall instances of Deafhood from my own parents and the Deaf Community. Flashing the hallway lights to get attention and stamping the floor with my foot or banging the table with my hand. My family would drive an hour or two to visit a friend unannounced because we didn't have the TTY at the time. Email wasn't invented and our mode of communication was dropping by. Deaf Standard Time was the normal time for us.
Oh so many fond memories called Deafhood!!
