I'm just a Colm Feore fan, so I ended up here purely as a fan. That said, I think funding of the arts is very important, in every country, not just from a culture and indentity point of view but also from a revenue aspect too. Also, as a side note, I didnt read peakyone's comments, but not everyone in the UK is ignorant, rude or rasist.

Not sure why peakyone (below) is commenting here. A quick look at his profile seems to indicate that he's likely British, racist, and strongly islamophobic.
Why he's commenting on Canadian arts is anyone's guess.

Fantastic! Lets make this a major election issue!
I think this video needs to be seen by many more Canadians. I'm currently attending drama school in Toronto, and even some students in my classes don't realize how big of an issue this is and how it could affect their education and work.

Part 2: boring culture indeed. The Arts are also a major part of Tourism to any country as well. Basically without the Arts, a country cannot project itself in a truly positive way. Government income decreases and taxes, mortgages or interest rates are a step closer to increases. Yes, they may not be steep, but every little node counts. Culture is a part of the infrastructure, so I hope this becomes a major election issue for Canada and the voters can resolve this in a positive way. I'm done :)
