@1cathar Expect a November release for the Necron codex but you never know for sure because GW is stupidly secretive. At Game day UK, GW would say NOTHING about them or the codex release. When asked why the necron codex is no longer available on the GW website they passed the question. :)

yes, but you clearly do not see the benefits of going second either. Realize that in DOW, your opponet will be pulling majority of things from the table edge with 1 turn of night fight.
GO SECOND, you can use solar pulse to take night fight away from you, and next turn, your opponet is stuck....AGAIN with night fight...i would much rather go second :)

i have 2 questions about the particle gun of the monolith
1: do i have to roll a W6 for its impact points so i may not hit the area a wanted?
2: does the particle gun has a line of sight to the front of the monolith or is it 360 so i can shoot in any direction

Bit confused about your explanation of first turn where you talk about destroyers coming on to shoot. Thought they could only enter on turn 2 and then night fight will have ended anyway?
