  • Don't mess with SAAB's. They are very quick cars. I own one. I like your Audi too, though.

  • love SAAB <3

  • wtf the saab was keeping up at 260 km/h?

  • @MKRM27 : First to introduce a mass produced Turbo Petrol car - however I do agree they are middle of the road motoring. They can be classed as "Quick cars" imho; I've owned a few. A 9-5 Aero would happily keep a heavier A5 3.0TDi at bay, but the difference is slight. 996/997 Turbo's are an entirely different league.

  • @MKRM27

Sounds like there must have been something wrong, i've tried different 2.0T engines from saab without that experience.

I'm not saying the saab diesel engine is better, i'm just saying you should try the twin-turbo diesel's from saab if you have the chance.

I'm sorry, but you're half wrong, the 2.2 is vauxhall/opel, the 1.9 and 2.0 used today is from fiat via GM.

  • @turbotuck Really? I experienced awful turbo lag on a 2.0T 9-3. Very unsatisfying.

As for Audi 'coming a long way with diesel'. Strange. Audi are amongst the leaders in the field and widely credited with reinventing TD, through their 1.9TDi unit from the late 80s and early 90s.

The Saab units cannot realistically put in the same league as what BMW, Audi and now even Jaguar are doing. You do realise that the Saab diesel (1.9 and 2.2) is a Vauxhall/Opel engine, as featured in the Vectra?

  • @MKRM27 Well, of course you have porsche, that's an entirely different league, what I should have said is that they're turbo-engines are unique, not talking about power alone, but the way it's delivered, you have power almost from start till stop(RPM) which I've never experienced in any other comparable engines.

I can see audi has come along way with diesel, wont argue that, but try saabs 2.0TTiD(well,the engine-block is from fiat). I don't like diesel-engines, but I was surprised by the TTiD

  • @turbotuck king of the turbo? in my ownership experience i'd say in petrol that's porsche (523hp from a 3.6l straight six) and in diesel audi. saabs are rather average... in my experience, only.

  • @MKRM27

First off all, i'm not here to claim whats the better car, basicly because I hate Audi's, and I feel I can't say anything...

But you're forgetting the v6 2.8L twin-scroll turbo engine that saab have, producing 300BHP in the NG9-5 and 280BHP in the 9-3 Turbo-X...

Don't underestimate saabs, you can hate them all you want but that doesn't change the fact that they're kings of turbo-engines.

  • @MKRM27 there is a difference between a car being better and a car being faster i never said the saab is better and who gives a fuck about being able to afford the audi i like saab because they are different audi is like pubic hair every cunts got 1 and that video proves shit only that u r 2 ignorant to accept that the saab is a fast car 40 2 70 quicker than porsche turbo fuck the audi........

  • @93hot82 look, no need to be so defensive... you can't afford the audi. fine. but dont feel you have to come out with the bullshit suggesting the saab is the better car.
