How the American Public Develops a Worldview through the Consumption of Mainstream Media

To help celebrate WFDU's 40th anniversary on the air, we hosted a media symposium for our listeners. Highly accomplished and well known media personalities conducted a discussion about the American public and the mainstream media that reach them.

Dave Marash, a well known journalist with more than 50 years in the broadcast news business and former Al Jazzera Washington anchor, is the featured speaker. Other Panel members include Michael Aron of New Jersey Television and Dr. Dan Cassino of Fairleigh Dickinson University. He reports the results of a specially commissioned poll by the University's polling unit (The PublicMind) on the usage of mainstream media. The program is moderated by Judy DeAngelis, morning anchor of all news 1010 WINS in New York.
