As co-founder of the Main Street Bike Cooperative, Zac Holford has been instrumental in fostering an alternative approach to bicycle culture for Chattanoogans. Community service is built into every aspect of the Bike Co-op and Zac is currently administering two programs that focus on putting bikes in the hands of neighborhood kids and people with little to no income. By offering yearly memberships for a $50 that includes all parts and instruction, Zac has been able to educate hundreds of people on the mechanics of building and repairing bikes—as well as the communal benefits of choosing a bike over traditional modes of transportation.
