I know its heresy coming from a Cats fan but I loved Daicos as much as I did Ablett. I thought he was as good and I loved seeing him in the highlights. That man could make my jaw drop every time. As a new fan to the VFL/AFL as I became a teenager, Daicos is one of the reasons I love this sport!

Daicos is a Greek word as is the word macedonia. Daicos is in fact a slav who is keeping a Greek word as a name. He should change his name to reflect his slavic heritage not a Greek word and then claim he is not a Greek. Its Hypocritical and only makes him a thief to Greece's history

Yes - it was the best goal ever. A banana designed to away from goal passed the behind post so that it could then kick back in through the goals. Executed from on the boundary line after three steps with a single glance at the sticks as he grabs the ball.
(I was also sitting up behind the goals - won't ever forget the hysteria of the crowd as it went through.)
