Ruben Carrazana - Monologues at District 8 Thespians

These are the two contrasting monologues that I performed at the 2009 District 8 Thespians Individual Events Festival. My first monologue is from "Jesus Hopped the A Train" by Stephen Adly Guirgis, and my second monologue is "The Recovering Male" from "Pounding Nails in the Floor with My Forehead" by Eric Bogosian. I earned straight Superiors with these monologues as well as the Critic's Choice Award at District. I performed them at the 2009 Florida State Thespian Festival and earned a rating of Superior. Hope you enjoy.

*Sorry, but the video starts a few seconds into my first monologue, you only miss the first line which is "My friend Joey, he should be doing what you're doing." And the last few lines of my second monologue are cut off as well. :(
