First off, one woman in prison represents the entire female population? Hell, I think we treat our women fairly nicely compared to most countries.

A woman behind bars has every right to have her child without having to be shackled. She should of not broken the law but even then, she has every right to have the child. Hopefully she has family to care for her and really, come on guys. Just because it's a child of a prisoner doesn't mean he/she's going to become a criminal. The logic is flawed.

If drugs were sold in stores and regulated, there would be no need for gangs, drug cartels, and other illegal drug operations and it would actually REDUCE crime in both South America and North America. As for those crackheads, the same could be said about alcholics. Will there be crime? Of course but not as bad as what's going on right now.
