Hi...and many thanks for your comments. It's always a relief when the last chords finally arrive, but Bach is great music for mandolin. My mandolin is an American Lyon and Healy Style 'B' from the early 1920s. They were only produced for a short time and have a unique sound something between a flatback and a roundback and are wonderful to play on. Regards from Marissa

i've been working on this one as well, we have different fingerings, i was wondering how other mandolinist played the part at 1:15, i see that you let go of the first note to execute the stretch, but that open G resonates... i actually try to maintain every note, it's a monstrous stretch. . Chris Thile's approach was to use open strings. Anyway sounds great! Now onto the Chaconne!
