Katie Meets Tomorrow's Leaders

Last week I met some future leaders of America! I spoke to a group of very talented high school students who are participating in the Junior Statesmen summer program, attending a month-long camp at top schools like Yale, Princeton, and Georgetown.

I told them a little about my job, and answered some of their questions.

Katie cringes, shocked, and stifling a growing fear ... I quickly tamp down her thoughts and feelings.

"A white horse fell in the mud."

And I'd do this only to say, (to brag that) I brought Katie Couric to smile or laugh on national television. 'Cause it's these little things in life that matter ...

I'm in JSA, and I spent the summer at Princeton for school; I had no idea our JSA members in Yale would meet Katie, Brian, and others.... I got the opportunity to meet Mike McCurry (former White House Press Secretary under Bill Clinton), but then again, it would have been an honor to have been at Yale for this speakers ceremony.
